04/09 - The site is augmented with cerabone® and NOVAMag® membrane. The augmentation is built outside the envelope of the bone. The magnesium membrane is positioned to bridge across the compromised buccal wall and secured in place on each opposing wall.

05/09 - A second NOVAMag® membrane is cut to shape and positioned over the top of the defect to maintain the position of the xenograft granules and to protect the volume of the defect space.

07/09 - Reentry after five and a half months revealed a dense and vascularized bone enabling the placement of a dental implant in the augmented bone. The size and shape of the original augmentation has been retained via the combined use of NOVAMag® membrane and cerabone® granules.
